Yowzas!

Wow, I've certainly let this thing slip for the past ... oh, half-a-month!

Instead of playing "catch-up," however, let's just move forward with a little bit of information about this weekend:

Despite the fact we've been advertising Jim's worship series "The Wheel of Emotions" as being a 3-week series, we've decided to end it at 2. This week's theme is:

"Turning Mourning into Dancing"

Join us on Sunday to get your party on, Christ-Church style.

Sermon Notes from Last Sunday

The following is the sermon notes and resources from Sunday, June 11th:

  • "But when our time was up, we left and continued on our way. All the disciples and their wives and children accompanied us out of the city, and there on the beach we knelt to pray. After saying good-bye to each other, we went aboard the ship, and they returned home." (Acts 21:5-6)
  • I desire our journey together as disciples of the Jesus revolution to be an adventure.
  • My Theology is About Love
Resources:
  • Movie Clip was from the film "Rent"
  • Special Choir Piece (1st Service) was "Holy, Holy, Holy"
  • Special Music (2nd service) was "My Sweet Lord" by George Harrison

Farewell! We Love You Guys!

"May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of his hand."
